I am a Wyndham owner at resort in Newport, Myrtle Beach, Hancock, and other resorts.

Renting from a timeshare owner as opposed to a rental agency, provides many benefits in addition to lower costs. Owners are 

familiar with their resorts and the surrounding area so you have the opportunity to ask questions before you decide to rent. Of course you need to be certain that you are actually dealing with an owner. When you deal with me you can be certain that you are dealing with an actual Wyndham Vacation Resort owner because you will have your reservation confirmation in hand before you need to send the entire rental payment. Your name will be printed on the confirmation letter from Wyndham Vacation Resorts and you will be identified as the "Traveler". Also on the letter will be the phone number of the resort so you could even call to confirm that the reservation has actually been made in your name before you send any additional money. The deposit which will be credited toward the rental actually is to cover what Wyndham charges for guest confirmations – thus the nonrefundable aspect of the deposit.

Wyndham does rent directly to the general public through a program they call Extra Holidays. 

If you click on this Extra Holidays link you can see what Wyndham is charging for the same reservations that I am offering. I always set my rental price at least 10 percent less than the Extra Holidays price sometimes up to 50 % less and even if they are offering a special deal I will still beat it!
